We heard from some of the University of Louisville staff and students that awarding a scholarship during the fall semester would be more appropriate because it is the start of the school year, not the end.
ASHE Derby City awarded two $2,000 scholarships Spring 2026, but we want to move the cycle to the Fall and so as not to miss a full year of students, we have decided to award another scholarship this Fall!

Because of the great success we had fundraising, with our Topgolf Event, we were able to award two $2,000 scholarships to a University of Louisville Civil Engineering Students, who is pursuing an emphasis in Transportation.
Congratulations to Amin Golkarfard! Amin is a PhD Candidate at the University of Louisville, J.B. Speed School of Engineering.

I especially want to thank all of our participants from the Topgolf Event held on March 6, 2026, to raise money for the scholarship fund. Without your participation and sponsorship we would not be able to award two scholarships!
The second annual Topgolf Fundraiser event took place on March 6, 2026. We had a total of 12 teams (two more than the first year) and 10 sponsors (three more than the first year). This enabled us to raise a total of $4,590.24 and award two $2,000 scholarships this year!
